About the Therapist – Caroline Newman MFHT

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERANatural therapy and massage treatments encourage relaxation and a sense of health and wellbeing, and in so doing, aid the body to balance itself.  The natural therapies Caroline offers include Swedish and deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage, Indian head massage, reflexology, hot stone therapy and natural facials.

Caroline has twenty three years’ experience of massage and natural therapies, having worked as a massage therapist at both Champneys Health Resort and Cedar Falls Health Farm, as well as at charity events, and in private mobile and treatment room practice.

Qualified for all the treatments she provides, Caroline is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (MFHT).  She is on a register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.  She also holds a certificate in Reiki (Master) (2008).  Her most recent qualification is an ITEC Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy (Level 3) (2013), and Natural Lift Facial Massage/Facial Rejuvenation (2017).  In addition to her professional qualifications, she has also had two years’ training in Shiatsu (Japanese meridian-based bodywork) and completed a British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course in Yoga.


Health & Lifestyle Consultation and Treatment

(Please note the treatment rooms are on the second floor via a staircase.)

      • A health and lifestyle consultation is completed at your first appointment.
      • Please let Caroline know if you have a medical condition or are receiving treatment from a GP, hospital or other complementary practitioner.  Some conditions may require approval from your GP before a treatment can be carried out, so it is always best to check this first if possible.
      • Avoid heavy meals prior to receiving a treatment.
      • Your modesty is maintained at all times during a treatment; the rest of your body being covered by towels when receiving a massage treatment.
      • A drink of water is available at the end of your treatment.

Aftercare advice

  • Drink a glass of water after your treatment to aid the elimination of toxins from the body.
  • Try to rest for an adequate amount of time after the treatment to aid the body’s own healing process.
